(Happy 1 year anniversary Joe and Sarah!)
The financial center of Italy and one of the world's fashion capitals was basically a rest stop for us. We wanted to see Milan, but we'd been recommended away from staying there more than a few hours to see the top sites. When we couldn't get a reservation for da Vinci's Last Supper, our stopover between the Adriatic coast and the Mediterranean one got even shorter. Like, it was just long enough to get to the cathedral from the train via metro and eat lunch. We had to switch trains from Venice to Santa Margherita in Milan no matter what, so may as well take a stretch break and see Italy's largest cathedral while we're at it, right?
Just to prove that even "rest stops" in Italy are beautiful, Milan still gets its very own post.
