Dresses and Flowers and Diamond Rings, Oh My (wedding)!

(July 13, 2013)

It has been nearly three months since Joe and I stood in front of the most gorgeous altar and exchanged vows. The day was both magical and overwhelming and truly emotional, often in ways that neither of us expected. Since most of the people who see this post were there, I will refrain from long proclamations about love and what it feels like to know, without doubt, that you have chosen the exact right person for you. If either of us were at all unsure, our wedding day was a testament to our dedication to each other.

Julia getting her hair did. Hair and makeup for the ladies started
NINE hours before the ceremony. Craziness!

So lucky that Cate was willing to help with hair for the flower girls. Also so lucky that they ADORED her.

Charlotte particularly enjoyed playing with the double doors onto one of our
TWO balconies at Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. (The hotel was AMAZING and even upgraded us from a garden-view junior suite to a HUGE ocean view suite.)

We loved our wedding invitation design so much that we incorporated those stripes into as much of the wedding as possible. Just wait...

Love this shot of my MOH and mom getting me into my dress.
Eva was especially helpful. She helped me with all of my accessories.

The limousine was mostly hired for function. I didn't know any other way to get from the Ritz in my huge dress or to get the bridal party around Soka's campus for pictures. Still, our champagne toast on the way was a fun treat.

First Look. We wanted to see our guests as much as possible, so we opted for pictures before the ceremony. (Such a great decision!)

My Bridesmaids

Cate and I had to recreate our favorite picture of us (ever) from 10th grade. 15 years apart!

Charlotte was super confused by her pomander. She was supposed to hold it but she'd put it on her wrist and then get totally weirded out when she couldn't get it off...
stuck to my side almost ALL day
